Salon story
The Hair Company Broadstone was created by us, Nicola and Deirdre, with one simple idea: to build the kind of salon we would genuinely want to visit ourselves.
Nicola is an award-winning hairdresser with over 30 years in the industry, more than 20 years as an educator, a former L’Oréal Colour Trophy winner, a 2nd place winner at Salon International in London, Young Colourist Award (years ago we know but she keeps going on about it 🙄😂) and Vice President of the Irish Hairdressers Federation.
Deirdre is the calm behind the scenes, making sure everything runs beautifully. As a AI tech nerd, she’s constantly (and we mean constantly) updating our systems which is no small task! Our website, services or any issues that arise for you, she’s on it. She practically runs the place from her office. Every salon needs a Deirdre, but you’re not getting ours 😉
Together, we’ve built a talented team who never stop learning. We believe in proper consultations, honest advice and creating beautiful hair that works in real life not just for the photo.
Our salon is relaxed, completely non-judgemental and a little bit luxurious. Our services are genderless, our pricing is clear and silent appointments are always welcome. No awkward small talk required.
Add reclining chairs, head and hand massages, cooling eye masks, great coffee and freshly toasted waffles, yes, really and you’ll understand why our guests tend to settle in quite quickly.
We take hair very seriously. Ourselves? Not so much.

She has a great eye for knowing what will suit her guests skin tone and eye colour.
